
The 20,000th train from China to Europe has
departed via Middle Corridor. The train departed from Erenhot Railway Station
in northern China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The train is carrying 55
containers. The movement along the Middle Corridor has increased from 10,000 to
20,000 trains in just three years. Since 2013, it has reached the 10,000 mark
in 2022.
For information, the Middle Corridor is a transport and trade route connecting Asia and Europe, passing through a number of countries in the region. The route starts in China and passes through Central Asian countries such as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, then the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey before reaching Europe.
