Iranian President Speaks on Unblocking Communications in South Caucasus

Iranian President Masoud Fezeshkian said that unblocking communications in the South Caucasus should be based on countries respecting each other's territorial integrity.

"This is the first and main law. The border and territorial issues between Armenia and Azerbaijan can be resolved only when the political and trade relations of the two countries are regulated taking into account the rights of both parties. To resolve this issue, we are currently working on preparing a road for Iran so that our beloved Azerbaijani brothers and sisters can reach Nakhichevan through Iranian territory. Road and railway construction work in this direction is underway at a rapid pace. We have already agreed on this issue, and God willing, there will be no obstacles in establishing communication between Azerbaijan and Nakhichevan," the Iranian president said in an interview with the Azerbaijani state television AzTv.
