London shows interest in Black Sea fiber optic cable project

The British side has expressed active interest in the Black Sea fiber optic cable project.

Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Tamar Ioseliani met with the Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of the United Kingdom Charmian Liver. The parties discussed the development of the digital corridor and the increase in Georgia's connectivity in this direction.

It was noted at the meeting that Georgia has great potential to use its geographical location, favorable legislative framework and business environment to develop a regional digital hub. The Deputy Minister emphasized that the Black Sea fiber optic cable project is a priority in terms of developing the digital corridor between Europe and Asia and attracting investments.

It was noted that the project has already aroused great interest from both Georgian telecom operators and potential investors.
