The volume of imported cargo increased by 8%, exports by 10%, and transit cargo by 3%. Transit continued to dominate and accounted for 55% of total cargo transportation, followed by imports with a 37% share, and exports with an 8% share.

The total volume of cargo processed by Georgian ports and terminals amounted to 15.6 million tons, which is an annual increase of 6%.

The volume of rail cargo increased by 1% annually and reached 13.7 million tons.

The total volume of road cargo transportation was 14.8 million tons, which is a new record - Last year it was 4% less (14.23 million tons).
