In 2024, the production of the transport
and logistics sector of Georgia reached 9.7 billion GEL, which is 14% more than
the previous year. The increase in monetary terms is 8.51 billion GEL, - this

According to the document, the share of the
transport and logistics sector of 9.7 billion is approximately 6.6% of the
total economic output of Georgia.
“In 2024, 31 million tons of cargo were
transported to, from and through Georgia, which is a 5% increase compared to
the previous year. The volume of imported cargo increased by 8%, exports by
10%, and transit cargo by 3%. Transit continued to dominate and accounted for
55% of total cargo transportation, followed by imports with a 37% share, and
exports with an 8% share.
The total volume of cargo processed by
Georgian ports and terminals amounted to 15.6 million tons, which is an annual
increase of 6%.
The volume of rail cargo increased by 1%
annually and reached 13.7 million tons.
The total volume of road cargo
transportation was 14.8 million tons, which is a new record - Last year it was
4% less (14.23 million tons).
As for air cargo, its total volume was 26.2 thousand tons, and this is an annual increase of 34%, - we read in the research of "TBC Capital".
