Poti Sea Port is one of the hubs for the TRACECA and transit corridor, which connects Europe with the countries of the Caucasus and Central Asia in a short way. Port of Poti is connected to the ports of Ilyichevsk (UA), Varna (BULG) and Constanța (ROM) by a direct ferry rail line and Novorossiysk (RUS), Burgas (BULG) and Rize (TRKY) ports by  direct road ferry crossings and provides a large volume of cargo turnover.
