Tajikistan Railways
The railway transport is an important component of the country's transport system in Tajikistan. The length of public railways in the country is 977.6 km (2016), track width – 1520 mm. 100% of traction is provided by diesel locomotives. The system connects the main urban centers of western Tajikistan with points in Uzbekistan. The main operator of railway transport is the State Unitary Enterprise "Tajikistan Railways" (KVD "Rohi Ohani Tojikiston").
