CAMCA (Central Asia-Mongolia-Caucasus-Afghanistan) Regional
Forum is a non-political forum created to facilitate discussions on means of
economic growth and development in 10 countries of the region: Afghanistan,
Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia,
Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The forum promotes dialogue and
interaction among emerging leaders from all sectors of the region's 10
countries, as well as collaboration with international leaders and
stakeholders.
The forum's non-political mission promotes an environment of
open conversation aimed at the well-being of the region and its people. The
forum was established as one of the first and only platforms to bring together
representatives of 10 CAMCA countries, from the South Caucasus to Mongolia, to
discuss opportunities for the development of regional cooperation and
integration.
The CAMCA Regional Forum was established to provide a
platform for the future leaders of the CAMCA Fellowship Program alumni network
to engage with a wider international audience in the future. CAMCA focuses on
the main opportunities and challenges of the region. In 2014, CAMCA's first
regional forum in Astana, Kazakhstan, brought together alumni and other participants
to discuss topics such as transportation, energy and security. As well as ways
to increase overall cooperation across borders. Since the first forum in 2014,
CAMCA regional forums have continued and grown each year.
CAMCA is the region's largest network of emerging
policymakers, thinkers, technologists and educators working to develop the
region's workforce to drive economic growth, innovation and social progress.
The location of the forum varies from year to year in the countries of the CAMCA region. The forum was held in Tbilisi in 2016, in Dushanbe in 2017 and also in other member countries of the forum. The forum is a unique opportunity to connect with prominent representatives and leaders of the CAMCA region and get information about the development of the region. Since its inception in 2014, the forum has featured more than 420 speakers and is attended by more than 1,400 people from more than 33 countries and 300 companies worldwide. The forum is organized by CAMCA Network, Central Asia-Caucasus Institute and Rumsfeld Foundation.
